The Ramsay Mark I Logstore is now fully operational. The roof is in its unfinished state. The original plan was to clad it with cedar shingles. Unfortunately our local timber yard wants about £80 for a pack. This effectively doubles the cost of the project so I’m having to rethink. For costing purposes I’ve ignored the new circular saw and the two days labour in the freezing garage.
The logstore is part of the preparation for Building a Shed from Scratch. The book that tells me how is already sitting on the desk. The Ramsay Mark I is a trial run – an attempt to see if I could join bits of wood together in a structure that would stand up by itself. I’m ridiculously pleased with the result.
