First Solo Sail

That’s more like it. The wind was much kinder today and blowing in a favourable direction. Suddenly everything seemed possible again. I got the sail up on the approach to Heigham Sound and took her down to Horsey – the first time I’ve sailed the boat on my own. After a few circuits of the Mere I clamped the helm with my new Tiller Pilot, motored slowly into the wind and got the sail down again.  Then motored home. A modest expedition. But it feels as if I’ve got yesterday’s panic out of the system.
